Well I finally got around to trying the PaRodinal that I mixed up some weeks ago. To remind you – PaRodinal is a homemade developer based on Panadol (Tylenol to our american friends), which supposedly has the same qualities as Rodinal. It’s cheap and easy to make, and Rodinal is just amazing stuff.
So I did the logical thing and shot a roll of Pan F+, cut it in half and developed half the roll in original Rodinal and the other half in PaRodinal. Same dilution, same development time, same routine, they were developed side by side in the bathroom.
To my eye it’s just lovely stuff.
