Okay, this book has been a favourite of mine for a while. It details the progress of photography after it’s introduction, in the direction of acceptance by the painting-oriented art of the 1800′s, and it also serves as a brilliant catalogue of early photographic work in many different disciplines and techniques.
I finally stopped abusing the copy at my Library and purchased from AbeBooks. I love AbeBooks to a dangerous extent. Give it a look.
