Ok, we we nipped in to PhotoCo in the central markets to investigate some film, and to drop off that Bessa R2 to get fixed up and have a once over from them. While I was there, I saw a Canon Super Zoom 814 sitting in the window…

Well I ended up leaving with it, $60, not bad at all. The excellent part is that it came with half a dozen fresh 625 mercury cell batteries, as well as the case in perfect condition and the manual. I’ve used my Nikon Super Zoom-8 in the past, but this thing is a step up, and at that price I couldn’t quite pass it up. I’ll get a roll of Super-8 this week and give it a play, but it all works a treat from what I’ve found so far. Brilliance abounds.
