HP5+, Nikon FM2n
ID-11 stock, 7.5 minutes at 20 degrees

Oh how I love my HP5+.
Processed today, with minimal problems – no drying marks or too much bother with dust. They dried just perfectly. It seems some wetting agent in with some distilled water, and plenty of time hung up does wonders. There are some irritating black specks of a sizeable nature on some shots, and I’m presuming they are the same ones I saw floating in my fixer a while ago. I think it comes from my old black-plastic fixer bottle showing it’s age – I’ve mixed up a new batch in an amber glass bottle.
I also had some issues with fogging – Despite the duct tape, that crack in the tank is still being a nuisance. A few frames lightly fogged, drat. Could be able to print though it with some determination, but they weren’t huge losses.
My Beseler Computersised colour head is still giving me issues, but with some quick button pushing I can get it to print. Maybe time to get the LPL C7700 out again – I think with a good microfibre cloth I can keep the glass neg carrier cleaner than last time.

But, enough with the rambling – onto the prints.

<img src='http://alastrianlampoon.com/heavy-arts/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/bonsai_3.jpg' alt='Bonsai #3' height="480/>

<img src='http://alastrianlampoon.com/heavy-arts/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/sink.jpg' alt='Bathroom sink' width="480/>
<img src='http://alastrianlampoon.com/heavy-arts/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/rose.jpg' alt='Rose' width="480/>

These were printed on Ilford MGIV Postcard paper. I love the aspect ratio of this stuff. I always compose photos in full frame, and 8×10 crops out a lot of that. I’m gonna get a new box of it, and keep searching for a larger size with a similar aspect ratio.
