The Library and Studios we finally got a good look at, and damn. The studios and specifically, the darkrooms, are amazing. Huge, and clearly with everything you’d ever want. We got to see the lighting studio, of which I believe there are two, with a nice 4×5″ rig sitting next to it’s case on the other side of the room – methinks it was a Toyo. There’s even an LPL 7700 in the darkrooms, my own dinky enlarger, hah. And dozens of Durst 35mm enlargers, in the Black and White B room. I’ll get some photos of it all when I can.
I forsee spending hours sitting in the library. Their floors look comfortable.

All enrolled in Uni properly now. We went to the Enrolment day and sat through the lecture, then went off to the computer lab to finish it all off. For the first half of the year I’ve got the same classes as Rose, so that’s pretty cool – we have different minors in the second half. On that note, I’ve got Introduction to drawing and print making to go along with Black and White A – should be fun.

I’ve officially moved out into my sister’s spare room in Adelaide. Commence being poor!
I have some ikea furniture, my cameras, my books, my clothes, and my laptop. I’m impressed how many boxes of books I managed to bring with me.

Camera wise, I’ve brought:
Canon EOS 300x
Canon EOS 1
Nikon FM2n
Olympus trip 35
EF 24-70mm f/2.8 USM L series
EF 50mm f/1.8 II
F (Ai) 50mm F/1.8 (E series)
F (Ai) Sigma 35-135 f/3.5-4.5
Canon f/1.8 (M39)

A handful of HP5+, a brick of fomapan 400 (still getting used to it), and some Kodak gold 100.
Not much, but enough to get me started.

EDIT: oh, I brought food too.

I am, as of now, enrolled in the South Australian School of Art. Neat huh?
Specifically, I am a photography major. This is the result of the last 3 years, ish, of an interest in photography.

Photography is my thing, what I do and what I know, so at least I’m doing something I love.

This will require moving into the city of Adelaide to attend, and I’m currently set to move into my older sister’s spare bedroom on the 10th of next month – two weeks from now, ish. $100 a week rent, not bad. Orientation is late February, School starts early March. Half a year of foundation studies before I get into a darkroom again, or at least the school’s one.
We’ll see what all happens. My expenses will go up, and my income will be cut down – But Australian’s should all be proud of the support the government provides students, it’s well above what the majority of the world enjoys. We have universities with nanotechnology departments.
Oh, I’m minoring in Print Making too.
